Grab the Ghostly Sword from the ghost pirate's disembodied head. Use it on Morgan to engage in an interesting twist on Insult Swordfighting. In this variation, the ghost pirate and Morgan will each say something, and you need to choose a quip that will insult the pirate but boost Morgan's spirit. The correct answers are as follows:
- Q: What's my IQ/On a scale of 1 to 10 how bad am I?
- A: Negative one, if that.
- Q: Men quiver at my masculine swagger/It's like I'm a little boy.
- A: Believe me, you're all woman.
- Q: I used to dream of being the greatest pirate hunter in the world/You make me want to puke.
- A: I bet people say that about you all the time.
- Q: I once owned a dog that was smarter than you/I can't believe I once studied under the greatest swordsman in the Caribbean.
- A: He must have taught you everything you know.
- Q: My career as a pirate hunter was as successful as my career as a marathon runner/Nobody's ever drawn blood from me and nobody ever will.
- A: You run THAT fast?
- Q: I can barely even lift my sword/There certainly is a foul smell coming from this fight.
- A: See, in some ways you ARE stronger than me.
After three correct answers in a row, Morgan will get her spirits up and win the fight. You can now talk to her, and she'll give you some clues about the four items you need to complete LeChuck's spell.
This is a classic scavenger quest. You need to place four items, at the Crossroads Center. We'll go in order. First you need something to GUIDE you. You might think that the sextants are the key, but these are impossible to steal. Instead your guide is something you already have with you, the Dog.
I was put off by some of the reviews, but have to conclude that they did not turn the dial all the way. The directions are not worthy of reading, you just have to guess, and much of it is self-evident. Just remember to use the focus, that means - turn it all the way! It has a timer, which is nice, and the shooting star function is really cool. ![Star projector planetarium Star projector planetarium](/uploads/1/2/7/1/127126766/954466806.jpg)

Next, you need an anchor. You might have already spotted this over at the Treasure Hunt. Talk to the pirate there and ask him to show you how the treasure hunt works. While he's busy digging, you can swipe his Jeweled Anchor.
The third item is a bit more obtuse. You need something that gives you COURAGE. You might already have this item, but if you're still scratching your head, go to the Gateway. Swipe the Tip Jar if you haven't already, and then use the Pirate Bucks in the Grog Machine to buy a regular Grog. You'll notice Guybrush makes comments about how this helps him face his day or his problems. This is your courage item.
The last item is a SACRIFICE. You'll need some help from this one. If you talked to Morgan about the items, you'll notice she said to take care of the others first. Go to the Crossroads Center and place the Dog, Grog, and Jeweled Anchor, and then return to the Swordfight and tell Morgan you still need a sacrifice (you have to have told her about the spell first). Mugen raosatiyamasong. She'll tell you she has a plan.
After a long cut scene and much drama, you'll find yourself face to face with LeChuck. Grab the Enchanted Cutlass. Things don't go too well. You'll wind up back at the Crossroads, literally and figuratively.

Bringing everything together and wrapping up the crazy tangle of outrageous loose ends that comically unraveled throughout the Tales of Monkey Island series, Telltale Games really pulled out the big guns to make Chapter 5: Rise of the Pirate God the grand finale that we'd hoped for. This high seas adventure full of voodoo, pirates, and zombies had us hooked from the get go, and anyone who's followed along with each episode will find the last chapter offers a stellar ending to what can easily be considered some of Telltale's best episodic work to date.If you haven't caught up with previous episodes and our past reviews, you'll likely want to do so before reading any further. Players who remained uneasily suspicious of the apparently reformed LeChuck and his super do-gooder attitude in the past chapter were rewarded for their caution when the dread pirate showed his true colors towards the end by running Guybrush Threepwood, Mighty Pirate, straight through with his blade. In most cases, it's not a very good sign when the hero dies in the middle of the adventure with unfinished business lingering. But in this case, it's the perfect way to kick off Rise of the Pirate God. Revenge is always sweet, particularly when it comes from beyond the grave.Get exclusive at Cheat Happens.
Killing Guybrush, regaining his unholy voodoo power, and making off again with Elaine to turn her into his demonic bride puts LeChuck in a position to score an epic win. And without a body, it doesn't seem Guybrush can't do much to stop him. The good news is the dude still has lots of spirit. Crawling out from his grave, our newly spectral hero wakes up in the crossroads - a distinctly grim and dismal netherworld populated by some of the oddest ghouls around. As unusual as it may be, figuring out how to get Guybrush back into his slightly rotting body on a permanent basis is of the utmost importance. Meanwhile, LeChuck has taken to trashing the world above as his zombie voodoo mojo skyrockets his might to god-like power levels. There are a few wild moments deeper into the adventure that will test your deductive puzzle-solving skills in the middle of action sequences, though you can get by a large chunk of the game by picking up everything you come across and trying to use it somewhere else that seems to make sense. It's rare that you'll actually have to bother with combining any items, since most work directly on their intended hotspot or target with a little thought power and some fiddling.
Conversation puzzles, and quite a few other varieties for that matter, do still require you to pay careful attention to both the visual cues around you and the stuff that's coming out of characters' mouths. That's not too hard to do when the dialogue is typically pretty funny and the writing is as solid as ever. It's also fun to see the goofy face battling gag from Chapter 3 make one final amusing return.Much of the visual design and direction in Rise of the Pirate God sticks with a really well-done doom and gloom motif that's a stark contrast to the some of the brighter settings found in past chapters but also manages to fit in just right with the overall style of the series.
The bulk of the game flows through completely new territory in the spiritual world. Your introduction to these dark, subterranean waterways and islands comes from a skeletal ferryman with a touch of OCD when it comes to the cleanliness of his boat. Other strange sites you'll visit include a treasure hunting ground that promises a shovel full of booty with every dig, a sword fighting area guarded by a beheaded fellow and an old friend, a thieves den manned by a handless kleptomaniac, and the mysterious center of the crossroads itself.
